Isa Nielsen

Isa Nielsen was born in Herning, Denmark, and moved to São Paulo at the age of 2. At the age of 12, she began singing and, at 14, she began studying guitar. During her training, she studied fusion for a while, but opted for rock/metal guitar. At 19, Isa joined the backing band for Ídolos TV Show.
Isa joined the band Detonator e as Musas do Metal, led by Bruno Sutter, and was part of the group for five years, touring Brazil several times and participating in special events.
Among them, the MTV Video Music Brasil (VMB) stands out, where the band performed live. Additionally, she participated in the reality show Rocka Rolla and the MTV special World Rock Day. In 2014, she recorded for the album Detonator – Metal Folclore, and in 2015, she participated in the double DVD Live in Sana. During this period, the band also appeared on several television talk shows and radio programs throughout Brazil.
In 2016, she joined Robertinho de Recife’s band Metal Mania, and the female Thrash Metal band Volkana, performing several shows throughout Brazil.
In 2017, Isa jammed with Steve Vai during the 25th anniversary tour for the album Passion and Warfare, playing Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child.
In 2018, Isa Nielsen performed at some gigs in the United States and participated in NAMM. She was also interviewed at the iconic Norman’s Rare Guitars and had a video of her playing Guns N’ Roses shared on the band’s official social media, going viral and reaching 3.7 million views.
Still in 2018, a year of many shows, Isa Nielsen stood out by opening for Tom Morello and John 5 at the Best of Blues and Rock festival, performing for 40 thousand people in São Paulo and Porto Alegre with her solo career.
Isa Nielsen had an important milestone in her career when she performed at Rock In Rio in 2019. In the same year, she began her journey as a vocalist and formed the band Distorted Duo, exploring clean and guttural vocals. With the band, she released the album Change, where she debuted as a vocalist/guitarist in a work influenced by death metal and other styles.
In 2023, Isa resumed her solo career, composing new songs and releasing singles. In the same year, she also joined the team of artists for the brands Solar Guitars and TC Electronic, reinforcing her recognition as a musician on the international scene.
In 2024, she released her first solo album, Break The Chains, a work that reflects her musical versatility and artistic maturity. She is currently planning her next album, always open to new influences and musical directions.
With a loyal fan base gained organically, Isa stands out for her eclectic approach to guitar and vocals, naturally transitioning between different genres of rock and metal.
Her authenticity and captivating performance have made her an artist with strong appeal among fans of the genre, consolidating her presence on the scene.
