Isa Nielsen was born in Herning, Denmark. She moved to São Paulo at the age of 2. She began studying guitar at 14 and soon formed her first band. Shortly thereafter, she chose music as her profession and studied under renowned teachers.

At 19, she played in the backing band for the TV show “Idols.” On MTV, she took part in the reality show “Rocka Rolla” and “World Rock Day.” She was a former guitarist for the band “Detonator e as Musas do Metal” and performed at the 2012 MTV VMB. In 2014, she recorded for the album “Detonator – Metal Folclore” and the double DVD “Live inSana,” released in 2015, both with the band Detonator. In the same year, Isa released her debut album, Break The Chains.

In 2016, she joined Robertinho de Recife’s band Metal Mania and performed various shows across Brazil.

In 2017, she joined the all-female Thrash Metal band Volkana, performing across Brazil, and also shared a remarkable moment: during the same year, Isa had the privilege of jamming with Steve Vai during his soundcheck in São Paulo for the Passion and Warfare 25 Years Anniversary Tour.

In 2018, she participated in the Samsung Best of Blues and Rock festival, opening for shows by Tom Morello and John 5 with her instrumental solo career. The performances took place in Porto Alegre at Praça Pôr do Sol and at Auditório Ibirapuera, with an audience of over 40,000 people. Isa also graced the stage at NAMM, showcasing her musical talents on an international platform, and performed with Derek Day during her time in the United States.

Another thrilling highlight marked Isa Nielsen’s journey. In 2019, Guns N’ Roses showcased a video on their social media platforms, spotlighting her rendition of “Sweet Child o’ Mine.” This performance captured substantial attention, accumulating over 3.6 million views on Facebook.

From there, Isa continued to release more original music and delivered a captivating performance at Rock In Rio in 2019. In that very year, she co-founded the band Distorted Duo. Even amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic, she received invitations to contribute to recording projects spanning the globe, including countries like the United States, Germany, India, Pakistan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Qatar, Hong Kong, and beyond.

In the same year, she featured in two music videos by Aria Noir: “Light of Night” and a version of “Sunglasses at Night” by Corey Hart, showcasing her versatile and captivating presence in the music industry.
